1. History Museum of Mobile Open House

August 4

Take advantage of free admission as you explore 300 years of Mobile’s History while learning about the museums programs, memberships, and departments. Light refreshments will be served!

2. 21st Annual Chef Challenge

Fort Whiting

August 29th – 6-9pm

Hosted by Feeding the Gulf Coast, the 21st annual Chef Challenge will feature some of the Mobile area’s most popular chefs face off as proceeds go to help our neighbors. Live music by Roman Street plus free beer and wine will be served with tickets. Mob

3. Water Balloon Battle of Mobile Bay

Cathedral Square

August 8 – 5pm

To commemorate the 155th anniversary of the Battle of Mobile Bay come out to Cathedral Square for some free family entertainment. Thousands of water balloons will be provided. Bring your water guns, water mines, and water bazookas for this fun event.

4. Eggs With a Side of Jazz

Central Presbyterian Church

August 10th – 11am

Start your Saturday morning with the sounds from The Jazz Studio along with delicious food. Proceeds go to support Family Promise of Coastal Alabama, Mobile’s first family shelter to support families and children struggling with homelessness.

5. Cool Club Cookout

August 23rd – 6:30pm

Moe’s Original Bar B Que – Downtown

Come out to Moe’s for dinner, 2 drink tickets, a live DJ, and more to raise support for Dance Without Limits as they seek equipment and scholarships for special needs dance students in our community.

6. Mobile Comedy Festival

August 7 – 11

Downtown Mobile

This inaugural event will be held in different venues throughout Downtown Mobile. Throughout the week expect a comedy competition, open mic, writing and improv classes plus a comedy show to end the week.

7. Bienville Bites Food Tour

Downtown Mobile

Join the fun as we dine at delicious restaurants and shops in the Lower Dauphin Street Historic District in Downtown Mobile for a three hour tour of delicious food and history! Our Old Mobile Evening tour is every Thursday evening in August. Our LoDa Stroll tour is every Friday and Saturday afternoon.

8. Mobile Tiki Week

August 12-17

Downtown Mobile

Mobile’s Tiki Week is back for its annual week of tropical cocktails and libations. Hosted by restaurants such as POST, Southern National, Noble South, Roosters, Squid Ink, OK Bike Shop and The Haberdasher each venue will donate proceeds to different charities of their choice.

9. 22nd Annual Dauphin Street Beer Festival

August 24th 6 to 9 pm

The 22nd Annual Dauphin Street Beer Festival features samples of over 85 different beers from around the world in 24 restaurants and establishments in Downtown Mobile.

10. Founders Day at Bellingrath Gardens

August 6

In honor of Walter Bellingrath’s birthday, Bellingrath Gardens has free admission to the public for Mobile and Baldwin county residents only. Explore the gardens and tour the home for only $9.
