The Experience: Five Stops After Dark
This isn’t just dinner, it’s an evening that unfolds across some of Mobile’s most iconic settings. Here’s where the night takes you.
Sunset at Dauphin’s, 34 Floors Above Mobile
The night begins at Dauphin’s, perched 34 floors up in the RSA Bank Trust building, the highest dining room in the city. Take in a jaw-dropping Mobile Bay sunset while you start your evening with a taste and, if you’ve added cocktails, a hand-crafted drink with a view you won’t forget. This is the kind of opening that tells you right away this is no ordinary food tour.
A Cuban Speakeasy Inside a Bank Vault
Later in the evening you’ll step into a hidden Cuban speakeasy tucked inside a genuine former bank vault at Las Floridita’s. There’s a password to get in (don’t worry, we’ve got it covered), and inside you’ll enjoy tender barbacoa pork with rice and beans, plus a Cuba Libre made with real Mexican Coke in the speakeasy glow. It’s the kind of spot you’d walk right past without ever knowing it was there, which is exactly why we take you.
Mobile Classics at the City’s Landmark Restaurants
In between, you’ll taste your way through Mobile institutions like Wintzell’s Oyster House, a landmark since 1938, sampling the Gulf Coast dishes that made this city a food destination: fresh oysters prepared multiple ways, crawfish-stuffed beignets that steal the show, and a sweet finish to cap off the night. Five stops, one unforgettable evening, all woven together with the history that makes Mobile unlike anywhere else.
Not an oyster fan? No problem, just let us know at checkout or skip that bite. There’s plenty to keep you full.
Add Three Signature Cocktails, Each at an Unforgettable Stop
On this tour, the cocktails aren’t just drinks, they’re part of the experience, each crafted at a different iconic setting:
Thyme Out — Sipped 34 floors up at Dauphin’s with jaw-dropping Mobile Bay views. Vodka, elderflower, thyme, lemonade, and pomegranate liqueur.
Dragon Drink — A Mardi Gras-inspired twist on a Hurricane, honoring Mobile’s dragon parade legacy, served at Wintzell’s.
Cuba Libre — Rum and real Mexican Coke (cane sugar, not the fake stuff) in the speakeasy glow of the Las Floridita’s vault.
Nearly a Decade of Mobile Relationships
We’ve been showing guests the best of Mobile for almost nine years, and the restaurants on this tour are among the finest the city has to offer. That kind of relationship means you’re not just dropping in as a stranger, you’re welcomed into Mobile’s landmark dining rooms like a regular, guided by locals who are known by name at every stop. You’ll taste your way through beloved institutions and hidden gems alike, woven together with 300 years of stories that bring downtown Mobile to life after dark.
Think You’ve Already Eaten Your Way Through Mobile?
So did a lot of our guests, until they experienced these places through a local guide’s eyes, heard the stories behind them, and discovered the history hiding in plain sight on streets they’ve walked a hundred times. This tour isn’t about finding places you’ve never heard of. It’s about experiencing the city you love (or are just meeting) in a way you simply can’t on your own. That’s why locals and first-timers alike call it the best night they’ve spent in Mobile.
