On August 1st, 1704, 23 young French women completed an extraordinary journey from France to the struggling colony of Mobile. Exactly 322 years later, we are telling their remarkable story through a one-night-only food tour in the historic streets of Downtown Mobile.
Join our expert guide Bella Myers, one of Mobile’s foremost storytellers on the Pelican Girls, as she brings their incredible tale to life: from their journey across the Atlantic and stop in Havana, to the founding of Mobile’s earliest community.
Each stop on this immersive tour reflects a chapter of their story — paired with thoughtfully curated food and drink inspired by French and Cuban influences.
We’ll finish the evening with a community toast at Iron Hand Brewing, complete with fresh beignets and bread pudding made just for this special night.
