The 2nd annual Forks and Corks celebration of great food combined with marine science returns this year to the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. Come check out the competition between area high schools culinary arts programs while learning about marine science with each bite.

Fort Whiting
Come out to Fort Whiting to support United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile with area chefs serving up their most popular dishes for the people to dine and then vote on. Beer, wine and a silent auction will also be featured on this night.

A girls night out benefitting the Ronald McDonald House that features food, makeovers, manicures and shopping all in one night.
5. Bienville Bites Food Tour
Downtown Mobile
Join our weekly tours of the best restaurants in Downtown Mobile. Thursday’s in September feature our Old Mobile Evening tour from 5:30-8:30PM. Our LoDa Stroll is every Friday and Saturday. Starting September 26, we debut our Bites and Frights tour, a haunted food tour full of Mobile’s mysterious tales. The dark side of Mobile has never tasted so good.
6. Events at Saenger Theatre
There are three huge events this month at the Saenger. On September 4, Old Crow Medicine Show take the stage. September 13th, the Black Jacket Symphony is live with their cover of the Eagles Hotel California and on September 14, comedian Eddie Griffin brings comic relief to the stage in Mobile.
7. Doing the Most Good Annual Luncheon

Renaissance Riverview Hotel
Hosted by the Salvation Army, the Doing the Most Good Annual Luncheon showcases awareness of all the good things being done in Mobile and Baldwin counties right now. Legendary quarterback Terry Bradshaw will be this years guest speaker.
8. The Throwdown
September 20
USS Alabama Battleship
Hosted by the Mobile Arts Council, five locals artists compete in a 90 minute art competition to be auctioned off and the artist of the highest bidder is declared the winner. Guests will enjoy delicious food, drinks, music and a silent auction inside the air conditioned pavilion at the Battleship.
9. Mobile Botanical Gardens
Sad news recently broke that the Mobile Botanical Gardens will be closing at the end of September. This beautiful place features a long leaf pine forest, gorgeous Camellias, Azaleas, Japanese Maples and many seasonal plantings. Please go support them in their final month. Open Wednesday – Friday 9am-4pm and weekends 9am- Noon. Admission is only $5 and children are free.
10. Vintage Affair Gala

Heritage Hall
Come out and support the American Cancer Society’s Vintage Affair Gala at Heritage Hall. Wine tasting by Red or White. Great food by Clifton Morissette. Entertainment by Cooper Trent and the Court of Trent. Featured paintings and art work will be displayed as we fight to stay well and cure cancer.
