WHAT HAPPENS ON A WALKING FOOD TOUR IF IT RAINS?

We’ve all been in this scenario, you’ve had your trip planned for weeks. Your days are scheduled full of fun things to do the entire time and then…. it’s going to rain your entire trip. You think your plans are ruined but are they? What happens on our walking food tour when there is a chance of rain?

For us at Bienville Bites, safety and comfort are a top priority for each and every tour, rain or shine. Let’s face it, Mobile is the rainiest city in the country which means we do have a plan for rain and severe weather for our guests.

First, we are monitoring the forecast directly from the National Weather Service the entire time. Not Facebook or word of mouth. Unless the National Weather Service advises that people in the Downtown Mobile area stay indoors, we will continue our tour despite the rain.

We do provide ponchos for all of our guests but we also recommend that you dress accordingly, if possible.

If a severe thunderstorm with lighting occurs in the middle of our tour. We will stay indoors at our restaurant stop until the storm passes. We may also call an Uber or Lyft to take us safely to our next stop. We will not put you or any of our guests in danger.

Each week we strive to make your experience enjoyable and comfortable. Our food will always be amazing and the bonds you make with others in your group will always be memorable, rain or shine.
