December is such a busy month! With everything going on here are our top 10 things we suggest you get out and do this month in the city of Mobile!

1. LoDa ArtWalk and Elfapalooza

Friday, December 14th

Who is ready to throw on a pair of elf ears as Mobile tries to break the Guiness World Record for most elves at one place. LoDa ArtWalk is held every second Friday of the month on Dauphin St. featuring local artists, crafts, and bakers.

2. A Very Electric Christmas

December 23rd

Mobile Saenger Theater

Audiences of all ages will be captivated as Lightwire Theater uses dazzling visuals and a unique menagerie of characters that magically appear out of the darkness. This production combines puppets, theater, and dance with timeless holiday music to create a one of a kind experience.

3. The Polar Duck Express

December 7th - December 23rd

Colonial Fort of Mobile

Relive the magic of the classic story as you are whisked away on The Polar Duck Express! Experience the streets of downtown and two splashes into the Mobile River on this hour-long holiday adventure. In addition to the wonderful memories make on this trip, each guest will enjoy hot chocolate, a cookie from Sylvia's, and will take home a magical keepsake sleigh bell!

5. Bellingrath Gardens Magic Christmas in Lights

Bellingrath Gardens and Home

Bellingrath Gardens is celebrating their 23rd year of Magic Christmas in Lights on the 65 acre estate. Come enjoy 3 million lights with 1,100 set pieces. You will be captivated by the 15 scenes throughout that will surely get you in the holiday mood. Tickets start at $16 for adults and $8 for children ages 5-12.

6. Bienville Bites Food Tour

Every Friday and Saturday

11- 2PM

7. Dollar General Bowl Mardi Gras Parade

A Mardi Gras parade in December? Yes, please! Let’s celebrate like we do best in Mobile with 24 Mardi Gras floats, marching bands from around the country, and moon pies! After the parade head to Bienville Square for the team pep rallies.

8. Dollar General Bowl

Saturday, December 22

6 PM Ladd Peebles Stadium

The 20th annual Dollar General Bowl kicks off December 22

This game has built a reputation of fielding some of the most competitive and exciting games of the Bowl season. Tickets start at $15.

9. Christmas Nights of Lights

now - January 1

Hank Aaron Stadium

Load your cars and trucks with friends and family for the last season of Christmas Nights of Lights. Hundreds of thousands of LED lights synchronized through your car radio is a tradition your family will always remember! Admission is $6 per person. Children 3 and under are free.

10. Moon Pie Over Mobile

December 31

Downtown Mobile

One of the best New Year’s Eve celebrations in the south kicks off at 8PM at Bienville Square with food trucks, celebrations and more. Stay tuned for this year's concert headliner on December 5th and join the celebration as we ring in 2019 with the Moon Pie Drop from the RSA Trustmark Building at midnight.
