10 MUST EAT PLACES IN NOMO

Just north of Mobile you’ll find great restaurants in cities like Prichard, Saraland, Satsuma, and Citronelle. Here’s a list of 10 must eat places and a few of their signature dishes located in NoMo!
1. Big Whites Wings
Big Whites in Prichard was recently named “Best Spot for Chicken Wings in Alabama” with over a dozen different flavor wings but the stupid fries have become their signature menu item. Piled with your choice of meat like steak, chicken, or Conecuh and topped with sauces like ranch, honey mustard, and hot sauce.
2. Grillbillies BBQ Company
Grillbillies in Citronelle is some of the best BBQ you will find in Alabama. They serve mouth watering brisket every Friday in addition to their amazing ribs and pork. They are open Thursday – Saturday, it’s worth the drive!
3. Satsuma Chevron
Don’t let the Satsuma Chevron fool you. They are serving up hot plates seven days a week for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast gumbo of cheese grits, sausage, Conecuh, eggs, onions, and hot sauce is arguably one of the best things to eat in south Alabama.
4. P.S Taco Co.
P.S. Taco has been a favorite in Saraland since they opened in the Publix shopping center last year. Some or their fantastic tacos include the fish, brisket, and Korean style beef tacos. Don’t pass up the P.S. taco fries topped with salsa, queso, avocado, pineapple, sweet chili aioli and your choice of protein.
5. Catfish Junction
Catfish Junction has been serving fresh catfish to generations of folks in Saraland. The signature hush puppies and cheese served before every meal are unforgettable.
6. Bay City Grill
Bay City Grill is a favorite for locals in Satsuma. Get their signature bacon cheeseburger with a side of onion rings for a fantastic meal.
7. Webb’s Cafe
Located on the Mobile-Washington county line in Calvert, Webb’s serves up a delicious daily lunch. Their hamburger steak is a thick ground beef deliciously smothered with onions and gravy.
8. Karo’s Seafood
The people of north Mobile county know where to get their crawfish craving and it’s at Karo’s in Saraland. No matter if you buy 3 or 300 pounds they’re always cooked and seasoned perfectly.
9. McMillan BBQ
McMillian BBQ has been serving fantastic BBQ in the Whistler community for almost 50 years! The ribs are can’t miss on the menu as well as sides of potato salad, baked beans, and collard greens.
10. Off The Hook Marina and Grill
Off the Hook in Chickasaw is a destination not only for their beautiful creekside dining but also for the delicious food. Steaks, burgers, and po’boys are local favorites in addition to their Sunday brunch. Arrive by car or boat, either way you won’t be disappointed!
